Halloweentime. I can smell it on the wind. One of those pop-up Halloween Stores just put up its sign last week on an oft-abandoned building. That exact weekend I unashamedly plastered my face against the glass and breathed heavily for a solid 5 minutes despite the stacked boxes inside and the lack of a human presence probably meant that they were not yet open. I shook my fist at the sky, and continued to hope against hope that Sept. is when their doors will open. My excitement doesn't stem from a love of pre-made, mostly unimaginative costumes - no. I like to cobble my Halloween dudds from from scratch. And in that regard, Halloween Store is integral in my hunt for the perfect costume...for it provides cheap scraps and doo-dads that can be customized without financial ruination! Unfortunately, the time has not yet come and must continue to bide my time in the shadows, but... SOON
