In which a fairy godmother gets got and a lost exterminator stumbles upon the road to nowhere.
This
is not a fairy tale. There are no powerful magics or fantastical realms. It is
about the pragmatic nature of stories and the power they have in shaping the
world as we know it. It is stories that have made an impression on
reality, and they continue to circle 'round like a needle follows grooves in a
vinyl record. Grooves that only get deeper with each telling. The older the tale, the more strict its course.
The comic focuses on the characters that are woven (sometimes forcibly) into that web of lore. The characters that occupy these particular tales are more like flies trapped in amber, made to relive some variation of a story over and over again. When We, the Odd starts, one of the stories being played out is violently jarred by someone or something. A story without the means to an end makes for desperate and dangerous measures to be taken. It seeks a replacement to finish what was interrupted. God help whomever it finds...
