The magic has ended and yet another, FLUKE whizzed by. This time along my friend Danielle came with and shard some table space with me. She is crafty woman in her own right, and it was a pleasure to have her join me!
I did substantially better than last year: 1. Found a choice table spot and had more people stop by for a chat. 2. Got the hang of using all 3 feet of table space to prime advantage. 3. MADE EYE CONTACT 4. Drank less 5. Experienced many pints less of nervous sweat. So...none at all. 5-1. Found a hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant parked next to a Chevron station. Best. Salsa. Ever. 6. Got invited into the inner sanctum of FLUKE participants. The Afterparty *insert confetti here* and this equals? PROFIT!!

Atlanta zine fest is officially over. It was pretty fun. The venue was cool (not literally, for there was no A/C) but, people were a lot more receptive than at FLUKE. Maybe Atlanta crowd was more aggressive with what they like, or maybe I just learned from my experience at FLUKE, but I sold way more minis and illustrations this time around. So...an awesome time!
After I finish the book cover and before drawing We, The Odd #1, I have a small 8-pager in the works for the Atlanta Zine Fest in June, and it's in color! Strictly hush-hush at the moment, but it involves some attempted kidnapping, grave robbing and unlicensed flesh-peddling--you know, a kid's mini comic. Posting sample pages soon...
